I saw the Speed Racer movie today and I totally loved it. ^_^ All of you have to see it too! Its still a little corny, but its corny in the way that all kids movies are. And the jokes that go over the kids heads make up for it. Oh! And there's NINJAS! Seriously! Ninja fight! And lots of explosions! And a hot Asian guy in white leather. What else do you need?

The graphics seemed wonky at first, but either I got used to them really quickly or they just got better after the flash backs. I dunno. 

And I swear I don't normally notice potential yaoi pairings until I venture into a fandom, but it was impossible to ignore the Speed/Sparky hints. <.< Aside from the relatively quick kiss at the very end, Speed and Trixie barely touch eachother during the movie while Sparky gets a long hug before a race, I think another afterwards, and then shares a victory drink with Speed. Not to mention all the "omg, Sparky, help me!" moments Speed has. I swear, first, in the original series, Speed tries to sneak up on Racer X while he's in the shower, now he's going after Sparky.


I'm gonna see it again if it comes to my local theater. ^_^
